Registration

Members of the Society can qualify and register as Pharmacologist after having met the criteria as put forward in the "Reglement Farmacologenopleiding". The CTB, a dedicated committee of the Society, manages the accreditation and registration of Dutch Pharmacologists. The necessary documents with criteria and application forms can be downloaded at the bottom of this page

How to become a Pharmacologist?

  1. Signing up at an early stage of your PhD: Prior to, or during the initial phase of your PhD project you express your interest and accordingly shape your training in consultation with the tutor of your University. Then, you need to submit various forms, including a CV, a copy of your Master diploma, an outline of your training program and a list of endterms. The CTB will evaluate your proposal and will get back to you within one month. The CTB may wish to discuss results with the candidate or the supervisor.   2. Evaluation upon graduationAfter completion of the training programme a final report is drawn up and submitted to the CTB, describing all aspects of the training. Use the form "Checklist Opleidingsprogramma Farmacoloog.doc". After evaluation and approval, accreditation is finalized by a diploma issued by the DPS and due from the date of issue up to seven (7) years thereafter. 
Note: Major changes in the orginal plan (as submitted under 1.) should be reported immediately using an updated training plan.

The CTB will evaluate your application and will get back to you within one month. How to renew registration as a pharmacologist?

According to the rules of the Society, renewal of the registration as a Pharmacologist is required every 7 years. All pharmacologists will be contacted by the CTB committee when renewal is necessary.
